The Arts
We are very proud of the variety of activities that we offer at Sparrow Lake Camp. Below you can read a little about some of the Arts activities that we offer. All sessions are supervised by our qualified staff and are designed to engage, teach and nurture our campers in the outdoors.
Fine Arts
Fine Arts combines arts and crafts with an opportunity to work on skills specific to fine arts. While campers will do a lot of campy arts and crafts activities (bracelet making, paper mache, and tie-dye to name a few) they will also have an opportunity to work with more traditional mediums like paint, sculpture and drawing. Fine Arts takes place in our lovely craft hut!
Performing Arts
Performing Arts sessions provide opportunities for campers to express their creative talents through song, dance and acting. Campers can choose from a variety of sessions (Music, Drama, Dance and Performing Arts which combines all three). The campers who have chosen this session get the opportunity to prepare something for the final awards ceremony and show that happens on the last full day of camp. Past performance have included dance routines, drumming circles, ukelele pieces and full plays. Performing Arts is based out of our Recreation Hall which houses a stage and a full sound system.
